Martha’s Table
It starts here. Martha’s Table,
in Washington, D.C., fed me, tutored me, and quietly decided my future was worth investing in when my
circumstances said otherwise. Everything I do in this space is an attempt to be, for someone else, what
they were for me. If you give nowhere else, give here.
Opportunity for young people
A child’s ZIP code should never be their ceiling. I put my time and resources behind the schools,
programs, and mentors working to hand young people the access, information, and belief that opportunity
actually requires — the doors most of them were never handed a key to.
Cancer research
Cancer research will always have my support. I know what a single breakthrough can mean — to a
person, and to everyone who loves them — and I believe it’s some of the most important work
being done anywhere.
Community
And the quiet, everyday work of community — the neighbors, churches, and local organizations that
hold a place together. I’ve staked my life on the belief that the biggest changes are built out of
the smallest, most local acts.
